Port-en-Bessin is located about 250 km west of Paris.

It can be reached by car, train or plane, mostly passing through Paris. In addition, ferry boat connections exists to England (Portsmouth, Poole) and Ireland (Rosslare, Dublin) .

By car:

When renting a car at the airports in Paris, the trip to Caen will take around 3 hours (without traffic jam). Most car rental agencies are available in the airport terminals, see this page.
The highway toll will about 25€.

By train:

When travelling by train you will mostly pass through Paris. High-speed train connections to Paris are possible from London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Köln, Frankfurt.

The trip from Paris Saint Lazare station to Bayeux requires about 2 hours. The train frequency is approximatively 1h30, see SNCF website.

From Bayeux, a bus shuttle to the hotel will be organized on February, 24th 2014 at 19:30 (connected with the train leaving Paris at 17:10). On February, 27th 2014 after the lunch, a shuttle will be organized to reach the Bayeux station (one train to Paris is leaving Bayeux at 13:42).

The Paris Saint Lazare train station is connected to both Paris airports (Orly and Charles de Gaulle) by the train RER B. Coming from the airports, you should head for station ‘Gare du Nord’ where you should change to RER E with the direction Saint Lazare. In the airport Orly a train shuttle Orlyval allows you to reach the RER B station.  Consider about 1h30 to reach the train station Paris Saint Lazare. Alternatively, bus connections exists from Orly to Denfert Rochereau station in Paris with Orlybus and from Roissy Charles de Gaulle to Opera station with Roissybus. See RATP website.

By plane:

The Paris airports (Charles de Gaulle and Orly) are linked to European and international airports by all main airlines. Further travel to Port-en-Bessin is possible by car or by train.

The small airport at Caen "Caen-Carpiquet" (40 km form Port-en-Bessin) can be reached from Lyon (St. Exupery) and Paris-Orly airports. Tickets can be bought from HOP! website for some European cities. Additionnal connections could be arranged by your own through Lyon or Paris-Orly airports.

Further travel to Port-en-Bessin is possible by car or by train. A 15 minutes taxi ride allows to reach Caen Train station from the Carpiquet airport (Abbeilles Taxi: +33 2 31 52 17 89 website). The trip between Caen-Bayeux lasts around 15 minutes. From Bayeux, the bus shuttle to the hotel will be organized on 24th February 2014 at 19h30 and from the hotel to the Bayeux train station on 27th 2014 at 13h00. Otherwise, the hotel can be easy reach by a taxi (10 km).

By ferry boat:

A ferry boat shuttle allows to reach Port-en-Bessin from the harbor of Portsmouth in United Kingdom via Ouistreham (15 km from Caen). For details see Brittany Ferries website.
